A 31-point blowout in front of a packed house was the perfect send-off for the senior class and a timely reminder of just how dangerous this team could be when everything clicked. Against a struggling LSU squad, the Cats played with joy, pace, and precision. It wasn’t just a win—it was a statement that they were ready for March.
No. 14: Kentucky 85, Vanderbilt 64 — February 19, 2025
Revenge games always carry a little extra heat, and this one burned bright. Back on January 25, the Wildcats fell to Vanderbilt in Nashville, prompting a rare court-storming from Commodores fans. That loss—Kentucky’s second in a row—had BBN grumbling.
Fast forward a few weeks, and the tables turned dramatically. No. 12: Kentucky 77, #11 Texas A&M 66 — January 14, 2025

But Pope’s Wildcats were unfazed. Kentucky controlled the game nearly wire to wire, playing with a poise and purpose that belied their youth. It was a performance that signaled growth, especially on the defensive end, and gave fans their first true glimpse of what this team could become when firing on all cylinders. By the time March rolled around, this win looked even more impressive—A&M earned a 3-seed in the Big Dance.
No. 11: Kentucky 94, #14 Mississippi State 89 — January 11, 2025
On the road. Against a top-15 team. And coming off a disappointing loss to Georgia. Kentucky’s backs were against the wall when they entered a hostile Starkville environment.
But instead of folding, they found a hero in Jaxson Robinson. The sharpshooter went off for 27 points in a high-octane shootout that tested every ounce of Kentucky’s composure. The defense was shaky at times, but the offense never flinched. In one of the most entertaining games of the season, the Wildcats reminded the nation that they could go toe-to-toe with anyone—even on the road, even under pressure.
