With the college basketball season wrapped up, attention has shifted to the incoming high school class.
A new group of standout players is preparing to enter the NCAA ranks, following a season dominated by the SEC, where Florida defeated Houston to claim the national championship.
As recruiting moves into the spotlight, AJ Dybantsa — the No. 1 prospect in the 2025 class — has been active on social media.
Dybantsa recently reacted online to a transfer portal move involving the Oklahoma Sooners. He reposted news that former five-star recruit Derrion Reid, after spending his freshman year with Alabama, announced his decision to transfer to Oklahoma.
During his injury-affected freshman season at Alabama, Reid averaged 6.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game, limited by a hamstring issue.
According to 247Sports, Reid was ranked as a five-star recruit, the No. 2 power forward, and the No. 10 overall player in his class coming out of high school.
Meanwhile, Dybantsa is set to join BYU next season, a surprising commitment to the Big 12 after drawing interest and making visits to several major programs, including North Carolina and Kansas.
He leads a highly regarded high school class that features other elite talents like Cameron Boozer, Darryn Peterson, and Nate Ament.
