The commitment of Kentucky At G League Elite Camp, Jaland Lowe puts on a show.

Kentucky transfer commit Jaland Lowe made an immediate impression at the NBA G League Elite Camp, showcasing his talent during the first scrimmage.

The 6-foot-2 point guard delivered a well-rounded performance, tallying 9 points, 5 assists, 1 rebound, and just one turnover in 18 minutes, contributing to his team’s 89-85 victory. He went 4-for-8 from the field, including 1-of-3 from beyond the arc, and posted a game-best +15 plus/minus.

Lowe’s efforts drew praise, including from Sports Illustrated’s Kevin Sweeney, who noted, “Had his way getting into the paint, made good decisions with the ball, \[and] looks to have added some muscle.”

In a high-stakes environment filled with players trying to earn NBA Draft Combine invitations, Lowe stood out for his composure, decision-making, and improved physicality.

Since transferring from Pitt and committing to Kentucky last month, Lowe has been expected to make an immediate impact. His playmaking and ability to penetrate defenses were on full display, offering a promising preview of how he could thrive in Mark Pope’s fast-paced system.

With more scrimmages ahead, Lowe has the chance to further elevate his profile but based on his Game 1 showing, Kentucky may have landed a breakout talent in its backcourt.
