Suns Respond to Celtics Loss

The Boston Celtics proved to be too formidable for the Phoenix Suns to overcome.

Phoenix: The Phoenix Suns, who are now 37-27 on the year and hold the seventh spot in the Western Conference, were defeated by the Boston Celtics on Saturday, 117-107.

Numerous Suns remarked about the difficult loss after the game.

“I believed we fought, and I was proud of our effort.” The way the Suns rebounded and how many loose balls we weren’t getting early in the game both bothered me,” Suns coach Frank Vogel said.

We had to play with urgency against the NBA club with the best record, but I felt like we found our game and played with passion the entire time the reset happened. Even though we gave them 15 three-pointers, I felt like we could have done a better job of pressing up on our shooters because we knew that was a major component of their offensive game plan. However, there were far too many possessions where we failed to do so, and they bombed a three-pointer on us, and you just cannot have those mistakes. Against a team like this, the margin of error is small, but I was pleased with our performance.

Kevin Durant, who finished with a perfect 45 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists, claimed that Phoenix’s downfall came from losing the three-point shooting contest.

We made 50% of our shots from the field, and I believe that we slowed down to try to locate our opponent and launch an offensive strategy there. We had 14 turnovers and some looks, but I only had six, so everyone else was doing really well,” Durant said.

I don’t think the turnovers truly hurt us as much as we caused them to commit 12 turnovers. They out-rebounded us, although not by that much, and made six more threes than we did. The three-point line, in my opinion, was the true reason we lost.

Despite Devin Booker’s ankle injury, which has now kept him out of four games, the Suns managed to manage without their star guard.

Yes, another creative individual who can also create for other people. Amazing leader, someone we look up to at all times. Although we don’t want to rush him back, I am eager to have him back,” Durant remarked.

“It is a crucial juncture in the season, and his health must be optimal.” We would certainly be able to buy him a few more hours or days to get him properly, but we would miss him on the floor.

Tomorrow, the Suns will return to action when they welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers.
