‘So happy’ – Alexis Mac Allister believes Jurgen Klopp was right to sub him in Liverpool win

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister scored his first goal for the club in the 4-3 win over Fulham.

Alexis Mac Allister hailed his goal in Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Fulham as one of his best – and admitted that his replacement Wataru Endo changed the game.

Mac Allister opened his account for the Reds with a looping volley from more than 25 yards to restore the lead against the Cottagers. However, Liverpool found themselves behind with 10 minutes ago until quickfire goals from Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold flipped the encounter on its head.

Not a bad start for my career here in Liverpool as a goalscorer. As soon as I hit it, I knew it was going to be a goal – a nice goal. When I play as a six, I’m not worried about goals, I work but it’s nice to score.”

Harry Wilson levelled the scores for Fulham before Kenny Tete restored parity for a second time on the stroke of half-time. The Reds were then stunned with 10 minutes remaining when Bobby De Cordova-Reid headed home.

Mac Allister admitted that Liverpool were forced to suffer during stages of their clash at Anfield – adding that they must improve in certain areas.

Amazing in some moments of the game then at 2-2 and 3-2, we didn’t play as well as we can. At the end, we showed the character and the fans were so important to push us,” the 24.

We can play better than that, defend better than that and we didn’t enjoy that part of the game. It is what it is, they are a very good team as well, we have to give them credit. But at the end, we have to give credit to Trent and Endo, we won the game.”-year-old added
