One former Chelsea boss and current club legend is reportedly in talks for a bizarre new job.
Chelsea have many former managers, but there wont be many who will be adored as much as this one, purely because he is a club legend as a player.
But this new job that Frank Lampard has been linked with, seems rather bizarre to me.
Charlotte FC are reportedly in talks with Lampard over their vacant coaching role.
Reports on Tuesday night said that Lampard is in the running for the job alongside former Aston Villa coach Dean Smith.
The Athletic says Lampard and Dean Smith, the former Aston Villa and Norwich coach, are finalists for the role and Charlotte hopes to have someone appointed by late December.
I don’t necessarily think it would be a bad job for him to take. I am more surprised because I thought he would want to stay coaching in England rather than going abroad.
