Real Madrid are already in a precarious position as the summer transfer window approaches. Even though they may have won the Copa del Rey, their attempt to defend their La Liga championship fell completely short. In addition, Manchester City defeated them handily in the second leg of the semifinals to eliminate them from the Champions League, 5-1 on aggregate.
Real Madrid must therefore strengthen their team over the summer. However, it appears that one of their key players might actually be leaving the team.
Fabrizio Romano claimed that Karim Benzema has received a significant proposal from a Saudi club. The Frenchman’s team has notified Real Madrid that he is seriously considering it and will make a decision shortly.
Since Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in 2018, Benzema has undoubtedly become the team’s greatest player. And since they don’t have many choices up top in the first place, they would need to find a replacement if he were to leave in the summer.
If Benzema does decide to leave Real Madrid in the summer, Los Blancos could be able to find the ideal successor. Harry Kane himself would be that person.
In the summer of 2024, Kane’s current contract with Tottenham Hotspur expires. Additionally, there have been rumors that the club would rather to let him depart during the forthcoming transfer window than having him leave for nothing a year from now.
Numerous Premier League teams are rumored to be interested in signing him. Spurs would undoubtedly prefer for Kane to join Real Madrid over their immediate rivals, so if Real Madrid were to make an offer for the England captain, they might have an advantage.
