Jurgen Klopp admits he still hasn’t decided who will line up for Liverpool at the start of the season.
The Reds open their Premier League campaign in a fortnight at Chelsea as they aim to respond having last campaign failed to secure a top-four finish for the first time in seven years.
Liverpool continued their preparations in impressive fashion when they opened their stay here in Singapore with a 4-0 thrashing of Championship side Leicester City on Sunday.
And Klopp believes places are very much up for grabs for the visit to Stamford Bridge.
There’s nothing sorted yet,” said the Reds boss. “I don’t sit here knowing who will start against Chelsea. Two games and a lot can happen. We will need all of the boys.”
While Alexis Mac Allister was the standout in helping Liverpool retain the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy they won last year by beating Crystal Palace, Klopp was impressed by a host of performances.
“He’s a good player,” he said. “In the first half, in possession, in moments we looked a bit stiff. Then we found Macca between the lines and he was really good. That helped us speed the game up.
We need to be calm but at times we were too calm and the passing wasn’t quick enough. These things need time. We have a lot of options and the boys need to show up. It’s not pressure, it’s just the situation.
“It was clear that although we scored three goals in the first half, Cody, Dom, Luis, Ben and Harvey really showed up in the second half. Joe looked good, Joel is calm on the ball, everyone has a bit of work to do
