NBA G League Elite Camp invite for Andrew Carr

That makes four Kentucky Wildcats now set to participate in the 2025 NBA G League Elite Camp.

Andrew Carr has officially accepted his invitation to the pre-draft event, joining teammates Lamont Butler, Amari Williams, and Jaland Lowe.

The Elite Camp is scheduled for May 9-11 in Chicago and operates separately from the NBA Combine. Strong performances at this showcase can lead to invites to the official NBA Draft Combine, where Otega Oweh and Koby Brea are already confirmed attendees.

Carr, a transfer from Wake Forest, served as a steadying presence for Kentucky during a season that included several top 15 victories. He averaged 10.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, pushing through injuries while demonstrating toughness and leadership. His calm demeanor in media settings and mature approach stood out throughout the year.

Standing at 6 foot 11, Carr has the tools to pursue a professional basketball career if he chooses. His showing at the G League Elite Camp could significantly impact how NBA evaluators view his potential.

“I know what it means to wear Kentucky on my chest,” Carr said when announcing his commitment to play for head coach Mark Pope.

There was never any question that Carr, wearing jersey 7, deeply appreciated his time in Lexington and made the most of his experience with the Big Blue Nation.

In today’s game, nearly 7 foot players with basketball IQ and shooting ability are highly valued. Carr now has a chance in Chicago to prove himself and continue chasing his NBA dream.
