Marquez announced on social media that he needed to get surgery to heal a right arm ailment that had been hurting him during the 2023 campaign’s second half.
After admitting on social media that he had surgery for his injured right arm, Marc Marquez, 30, stated he was “ready for 2024″ because the injury had started in the latter part of the 2023 season.

The eight-time world champion had an exciting debut at Gresini Ducati on Tuesday during post-season testing in Valencia.
He agreed to leave Honda at the end of the 2023 season, and in his first outing with his new team during the morning session, he set the second fastest time.
With Repsol Honda, the Spaniard has ruled the circuit for the past ten years, taking home six MotoGP titles and 59 Grands Prix.
But in 2023, he only managed one podium finish—during the Australian season-opener—and made the decision it was time to go on.
The current MotoGP champion, Francesco Bagnaia, expressed his lack of surprise at Marc Marquez’s performance after his incredible debut in Valencia.
He told MotoGP.com, “I said some races ago that he was first in the first test.”
“He should be extremely delighted with the bike, but I missed it by a few positions. This bike is beautifully maintained for the entire season, and he will love it.
In the current MotoGP era, Marquez will be attempting to make history by becoming the first rider to win a World Championship with an independent team. He will be joining younger brother Alex at Gresini.
