Marc Marquez acknowledges that after corresponding with competing factories, contract negotiations began.

Before the Spanish MotoGP in Jerez, Marc Marquez was mentioned as a possible Aprilia switcher.

However, the eight-time world champion has subsequently acknowledged that talks with the current world champion have already started, suggesting that he is determined to stick with Ducati.

But these won’t be any chats, since Marquez is said to have expressed a strong desire to join the factory team.

Marquez has acclimated to the bike and Ducati’s elite brass quite well since switching to the company.

Marquez, who just missed out on his maiden victory with the Italian brand at Jerez, appears to get along well with Gigi Dall’Igna, which may work in his favor when it comes to choosing Francesco Bagnaia’s partner.

Marquez stated, “The faster you go on track, the more options…,” in reference to this future. The fact that the plan is working well is what matters.

“The factories are getting in touch with me when there are outcomes.

“Talks have already taken place. I know quite well what I desire in my mind.

When pressed further about factors that might contribute to his getting a factory ride for the 2025 campaign, Marquez made it plain that success is not the only factor.

Marquez has crashed a couple times in the last few rounds, but it wasn’t because of overrides.

Bagnaia eliminated Marquez in Portimao, and the former Honda star crashed out of the lead in COTA due to brake problems.

In reference to the requirements for obtaining an additional factory seat, Marquez continued, “It depends on everything, generally.” However, what matters is that I am explicit. I have more than one choice.
