Malachi Moreno, a potential wildcat, excels at the Chris Brickley Invitational.

Kentucky Wildcats signee Malachi Moreno delivered an impressive showing at the Chris Brickley Invitational over the weekend, demonstrating his versatility against some of the top high school players in the country.

 

The 7-foot center from Georgetown nearly recorded a double-double, finishing with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and a block. Long praised for his shot-blocking and soft touch around the rim, Moreno also showcased improved playmaking and vision in transition an exciting development for Kentucky fans eager to see how he’ll fit into Mark Pope’s frontcourt system.

The game was filled with elite talent from the class of 2025, including names like Chris Cenac Jr., Meleek Thomas, Darius Acuff Jr., Trey McKenney, Eric Reibe, and Mikel Brown Jr. a Louisville commit who led all scorers with 29 points and earned MVP honors.

 

In addition to top seniors, the event featured standout underclassmen from the 2026 to 2028 classes, offering a glimpse at future stars like Anthony Thompson, Qayden Samuels, Cameron Holmes, Luca Foster, Ryan Hampton, and Kameron Mercer.

 

Moreno’s strong performance adds to his growing résumé as he gears up to join the Wildcats. With his two-way impact and developing skill set, he remains one of the most promising big men in the 2025 recruiting class.
