Liverpool pay £26M to complete signing of “sensational” forward

In order to recruit “sensational” Real Betis forward Luiz Henrique, Liverpool is willing to pay £26 million.

While defenders and possibly one midfielder have dominated the transfer rumors this summer, strikers are still frequently mentioned.

Liverpool is just one attacking signing away from having the ideal number of attackers, even though this may be little more than the rumor mill churning out articles for clicks.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s attacking lineup is still missing a forward to provide Mohamed Salah some protection and competition. The Egyptian doesn’t need to worry about getting benched in order to perform, but even the fittest football players worry about injuries.

Henrique could fill this role to perfection and at the age of 22, he would be an astute addition in line with Liverpool’s goal of revamping their squad with the best young talent.

Alexis Mac Allister (24) and Dominik Szoboszlai (22) have already brought down the average age of the Liverpool squad and if Romeo Lavia (19) joins as speculated, Klopp will have future-proofed is midfield

That process is already underway in attack with Cody Gakpo (24), Darwin Nunez (24) and Luis Diaz (26) all joining the club recently.

What’s the latest on Luiz Henrique to Liverpool?

It was initially reported by Fichajes that Liverpool are the latest side to express interest in signing Henrique this summer.

It’s not surprising after his dazzling displays in La Liga last season which has seen his stock skyrocket.

He didn’t post elite numbers, scoring and assisting a combined total of ten goals, but his mesmerising dribbling and explosive pace caught the eye.

Now, Spanish press in the form of Nacional, have a fresh update on the 22-year-old claiming Liverpool are ready to submit a bid worth £26M to secure his services this summer

This would reportedly satisfy Real Betis and given Jurgen Klopp’s track record of getting the best out of young attackers, in particular, Henrique could be the next Brazilian to make his name at Anfield.

The Reds are reportedly favourites to land his signature ahead of the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona. This is impressive given the lure Brazlians have for playing for Spain’s ‘Big Two

If you’re hoping Henrique signs for Liverpool, Anfield Central will bring you further updates and reports.
