In an effort to further bolster their midfield, Liverpool is said to have made an offer for Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie.
The Ivory Coast international, who joined Barcelona from AC Milan last summer, seems like he could be a solid choice for Liverpool in that problematic position, even though he hasn’t fully displayed his finest form there yet.
Inter Live, as cited by Sport, claims that Liverpool have made a genuine attempt to compete with Inter Milan for the services of Kessie this summer and have even offered the 26-year-old player a €35 million bid.
On his best days, Kessie can easily rank among the best defensive midfielders in Europe, and he may replace Fabinho in Jürgen Klopp squad
LFC may or may not complete this transaction, but one can only speculate about how many midfielders the Merseyside giants may bring in during this transfer window.
A deal for Alexis Mac Allister now appears to be almost finalized, according to Fabrizio Romano’s tweet below.
Jordan Henderson isn’t getting any younger, and players like Naby Keita have recently departed on free transfers and need to be replaced, so there would undoubtedly be room for more reinforcements in the middle of the field.
