Liverpool have reportedly made OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram their new transfer priority, with the 22-year-old open on a move to Anfield.
According to L’Equipe, the Reds have identified the French international their next big move in the market having signed up Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion, with Thuram viewed by many as an ideal addition for Liverpool this summer.
Thuram was one of the breakout names in Europe last season and has now established himself with the French national team, and the Premier League seems to be the midfielder’s next move having become a star at Nice in the last 12 months.
A prospect who has been lauded as ‘perfect’ by RMC Sport journalist Alex Jaquin, Thuram has been praised for his all-round game as well as his physical stature. And for Liverpool, making the midfielder their new priority could be an excellent decision in the window.
Indeed, Jurgen Klopp could do with a versatile midfielder who is still also learning the ropes of the game. And in Thuran, the Liverpool boss has the perfect target already on his radar to fill this role for the Merseyside giants, one that could be taken for years to come.
Thuram is firmly on the path to superstardom after an incredible year with Nice and breaking into the France national team. And the midfielder could be the dream signing for Liverpool this summer if they’re willing to meet the reported £50m asking price.
At 22, Thuram is only going to get better from here, and with Liverpool the perfect environment for a player as young as the midfielder, the transfer could be perfect for all parties should the Reds manage to secure a deal quick enough for the Ligue 1 dynamo.
