Liverpool have just signed Mohamed Salah replacement without anyone realising

When Mohamed Salah leaves for the Africa Cup of Nations in January and February, Liverpool will have to make do without his services.

He will likely miss back-to-back league games against Chelsea and Arsenal if Egypt advances to the tournament’s knockout rounds, though neither the Pharaohs nor Liverpool are guaranteed to get through the FA Cup fourth round or League Cup semifinals.

Mohamed Salah is expected to captain Egypt at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, therefore Liverpool will once again be without the forward in the new year

With the finals set to take place from January 13 to February 11 in Ivory Coast, the 31-year-old could miss at least five matches, with four coming in the Premier League, if the Pharaohs reached the final. Throw in progression in the FA Cup and League Cup, and such a total rises to eight games, with the possibility of replays in the former even ruling Salah out of a potential 10 outings.

salah missed six matches for his AFCON exploits in 2022 as he helped Egypt reach the final, only to lose on penalties to Sadio Mane’s Senegal.
