Jürgen Klopp expects Trent Alexander-Arnold to be fit for Liverpool’s trip to Newcastle United but Ibrahima Konate is a doubt.
Alexander-Arnold was substituted in the second half of last weekend’s victory over AFC Bournemouth after sustaining a knock.
Thiago Alcantara and Curtis Jones remain sidelined for the Reds, while a muscle issue means Konate’s fitness will be monitored ahead of the encounter at St. James’ Park.
Speaking about the availability of the players at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp said: “Trent yes.
“Thiago from Monday on. Curtis from Monday on. And Ibou is a doubt. Yeah, playing 40 minutes with 10 men didn’t help, let me say it like that. But that’s the situation. The rest should be available.”
