Kentucky Extends Offer to 5-Star 2026 Guard Qayden Samuels
Kentucky basketball has extended another offer to a top prospect in the 2026 class.
Late Monday night, 5-star guard Qayden Samuels announced he received a scholarship offer from the Wildcats the same day Kentucky also offered fellow 2026 standout Bryson Howard.
Samuels, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound guard from Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland, is ranked No. 18 nationally by the 247Sports Composite. ESPN ranks him even higher at No. 10 overall.
His list of offers is already impressive, including programs like Kansas, UConn, Alabama, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, Maryland, and Illinois, among others. While he hasn’t taken any official visits yet, he did make a recent unofficial visit to NC State.
That visit may carry some weight, as his sister, Qadence Samuels, currently plays for the NC State women’s team, which could give the Wolfpack an edge in his recruitment.
In the meantime, fans can watch highlights of Samuels competing with Team Take over on the Nike AAU circuit where he’s shown why he’s one of the top guards int he country.
