Journalist reveals Tottenham, Man City stars on ‘Tuchel list’ at Bayern; gives Liverpool hope over Pavard signing

The current situation has been presented by a reputable German journalist as Bayern prepares for a hectic summer negotiating with numerous Premier League clubs.

Kim Min-jae’s planned transfer from Napoli to Manchester United has been effectively thwarted by Bayern. According to certain rumors, a “done deal” between Manchester United and the Italian team had already been reached, but Bayern Munich swooped in to sign the center-back first.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Kim and Bayern had come to a “total agreement” about their personal arrangements. At the Allianz Arena, the defender has consented to sign a five-year deal.

Bayern will allow Lucas Hernandez to join Paris Saint-Germain and once that move has gone through, they will activate Kim’s £43million release clause.

After Kim officially becomes a Bayern player, their attention will turn to Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker.

After having an opening £60m offer for Kane rejected, CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs has tipped the German champions to return with an improved £80m bid. And reports in Germany have already claimed the England captain has reached a verbal agreement with Bayern.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are also trying to tempt Walker away from City. Walker has been offered a new contract by City as his current deal is set to expire in June 2024. But Bayern have offered him the chance to play more regularly by going to Germany this summer.

Walker could arrive at Bayern to replace current right-back Benjamin Pavard, who is thought to be on the radars of both Man Utd and Liverpool. During an interview with CaughtOffside, Bild’s head of football coverage Christian Falk discussed the futures of Kane, Walker and Pavard.

“He still has his ‘Tuchel list’; he’s working at Bayern Munich, at the moment, in a similar manner to how managers in the Premier League go about their business,” the reporter said.

“Normally the sporting director has a greater say but Tuchel is actually in the driver’s seat. Now that he has Kim, he’s still got an eye on Harry Kane and Kyle Walker.

“Walker is the next topic. There’s still a bit of a fight with Manchester City in terms of whether he signs a new contract or joins Bayern.

“It’s a similar situation to the one facing Bayern with Hernandez and Kim – a little bit like Walker and Benjamin Pavard.

“It’s not true that Pavard has said ‘no’ to Liverpool, everything is open still. Now they have to see where Pavard is going to. Walker is a solution; the player has said ‘yes’ and can imagine coming to the Bundesliga.

“That said, he would sign a good contract at City, so it’s between City and Bayern Munich still. Bayern know they will lose Pavard.”

Meanwhile, a Liverpool hero has reached a ‘full agreement’ over his next club, and it will see him play alongside a former Chelsea man.
