Richard Keys has said that Jurgen Klopp’s comments on Liverpool’s kickoff times has never been brought up in a Premier League meeting.
The Anfield manager has made it quite well-known in recent weeks that he is not pleased with how the Premier League have been scheduling recent Liverpool games.
Klopp was publically furious with the Reds’ clash against Manchester City being scheduled for 12:30 on a Saturday straight after the international break. Yet speaking on Bein Sports, Keys has now said that the issue hasn’t been brought up in private Premier League meetings.
Keys said: “If he’s got genuine complaints about that then he can nip upstairs and have a word with the general manager and tell him to tell broadcasters ‘we don’t want to be part of this,’ and then don’t take the money and don’t be involved.”
With fellow pundit Jason McAteer pointing out that Klopp has made all his complaints public knowledge, Keys doubled down on his original point and hinted that nothing has been said in private meetings.
Keys added: “If that is a problem, then whoever represents him at the Premier League meetings should say ‘we’ve been scheduled too many times at 12:30 and we need to make a change.’ I can tell you, it’s never been brought up once.”

Whether or not Keys’ claim is true is a story for another day, yet there can be some truth in the fact that Klopp should take the matter to the higher-ups at Liverpool to present to the Premier League.
As McAteer pointed out, Klopp making the comments public strongly hints that the issue hasn’t been brought up at an official league meeting, something that Liverpool should consider in the coming weeks.
Indeed, Klopp’s gripes with the Premier League can’t be left unresolved, and real communication with the Liverpool manager and the league could lead to crucial change
