FINALLY’: LIVERPOOL’S IBRAHIMA KONATE & £25M STAR LOVE ASTON VILLA’S LATEST TRANSFER CALL

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate and Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey have welcomed the club’s new transfer capture Moussa Diaby to the Premier League after he completed his move from Bayer Leverkusen.

Unai Emery’s side are making some big moves during the 2023 summer transfer window, with Moussa Diaby now joining Youri Tielemans and Pau Torres at Villa Park.

The addition of France’s rising star is perhaps the most impressive because Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were also linked to the 24-year-old.

Nonetheless, Diaby posted on his Instagram that he is ‘very proud to start a new chapter’, with the likes of Ibrahima Konate and Leon Bailey sharing their messages in the comments section.

Of course, Villa also purchased Bailey from Leverkusen back in 2021 for £25 million (BBC Sport), but the 25-year-old has had a mixed time of it.

In comparison to Diaby, the France international is joining a team in a much stronger position and with a world-class manager at the helm, as Diaby’s teammates reacted to his arrival at Villa.

Welcome, my brother,” wrote Liverpool’s Konate, whilst Bailey added: “Yes, finally. Welcome, my brother.”

Diaby in the Premier League

The creative wide man has proven that he is now too good for Germany’s top-tier, so a move to the Premier League, in order to take the next step, was the right call.

Not only that, he has picked a very good environment. An Aston Villa side on the rise, in Europe and hoping to push even further next season.

Plus, Diaby is now going to get coached by Emery, who has improved over 90% of players since he replaced Steven Gerrard back in November.
