Bruno Fernandes, a midfielder for Manchester United, claims that the club’s supporters will be happy to see Liverpool miss out on Champions League qualification.

Tonight’s decisive 4-1 victory over Chelsea by the Red Devils guaranteed them a spot in Europe’s top league.

Fernandes knows that the result will feel even sweeter to the fans as they were able to deny Liverpool a place in Europe’s premier competition.

One of United’s four goal scorers, Fernandes, was ecstatic to have ensured a top-four finish.

We know that means a lot, but for us, it’s about accomplishing our goals, so we did, he said (as reported by the Mirror).

Naturally, we anticipated that the supporters would be pleased if Liverpool did not attend, but for us, it is more important to take care of ourselves and do the best we can.

United will receive additional revenue and be able to entice elite players in the forthcoming summer transfer window thanks to their return to the Champions League.

When Erik ten Hag joined United in the summer of last year, it seemed like a breath of fresh air. However, that quickly changed after United opened their season with consecutive losses to Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Red Devils have progressed since then. The team’s standards have increased as a result of Ten Hag’s excellent work in bringing in the proper players last summer.
