Cooper Flagg is widely projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft after an outstanding freshman year with the Duke Blue Devils.
Flagg joined head coach Jon Scheyer at Duke with hopes of guiding the program to a national championship. While the team came close, their season ended in the Final Four, falling to Houston.
Despite the loss, Flagg had a remarkable year, leading Duke in all five major statistical categories:
19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. His efforts helped the Blue Devils finish with an impressive 35–4 record.
Off the court, Flagg made headlines this week by partnering with New Balance. On Monday, he reshared a post from the brand announcing their new collaboration: a limited release of “Flagg Day” t-shirts and crewnecks.
“The Flagg Day special edition graphic tees and crewnecks,” New Balance wrote. “Celebrating the dedication of the past, and the promise of the future. Available now on newbalance.com.”
Fans quickly took to social media with mixed reactions:
* “KD, Wemby, and Flagg in Texas. Nature has healed.”
* “So tough but $74 is steeeeep.”
* “$74 cotton t-shirt… bugging out.”
* “Coop takeover.”
In addition to his on-court success, Flagg was honored as both the Naismith Player of the Year and the Wooden Award winner cementing his legacy as one of the best freshmen in college basketball history.
Now, all eyes turn to the NBA Draft, scheduled for June 25 at 8 p.m. ET, where Flagg is expected to be the first name off the board.
