Right now, Duke basketball fans are glued to Twitter and other platforms, anxiously refreshing for any updates on Dame Sarr. On Monday, it was reported that Sarr was in Durham for his official visit, sparking major buzz.
Since then, there’s been no new public information though Sarr removing photos from his Kansas visit on Instagram has many convinced he’s leaning heavily toward the Blue Devils.
As of now, Sarr hasn’t announced where he’ll play next season. Duke is widely seen as the frontrunner, and fans are eagerly awaiting a possible commitment announcement possibly as soon as Wednesday.

Even before his visit to Durham, several recruiting insiders predicted that Jon Scheyer and Duke would secure Sarr’s commitment. Kansas had been considered the early favorite following a successful visit there, but Duke’s recent push may have shifted the momentum.
If Scheyer can close the deal, it would be a major recruiting win and bolster an already impressive 2025 class. Sarr, a 5-star prospect per 247Sports, would join fellow 5-stars Cameron Boozer, Cayden Boozer, and Nikolas Khamenia, giving Duke four top-tier recruits more than any other program.
Still, nothing is official, and Sarr’s next step remains uncertain. Originally from Italy, he’s spent the past three years developing with FC Barcelona in Spain, but college basketball seems to be his next move. Will it be Duke? That answer could drop any time now.
