The 22-year-old could feature for the Blues this weekend when he returns from injury.
Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has revealed that he’s back in training after suffering a minor injury ahead of the Blues’ clash with Luton Town last weekend.
The 22-year-old has come under criticism for his poor performances over Chelsea’s first two matches of the season against Liverpool and West Ham, having failed to have much impact across both games.
But an injury in training saw him sidelined for the Luton match, with Pochettino admiting he was disappointed Mudryk would miss out on the game against the Hatters.
“I think maybe a few days [for him to recover],” Pochettino said. “He is not going to be available. Very disappointed because of the situation, he played 45 minutes against West Ham.
He is a player we hope to help play in the way believe he can perform. Disappointed but at the same time it is not a big issue. Maybe one week or a few days.”
Mudryk also didn’t feature against AFC Wimbledon in the Blues’ 2-1 win in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, as the Ukranian international was left out of the matchday squad
But the star is set to return as he posted to his Instagram story, sharing a photo of him and teammate Malo Gusto in training sharing a hug
He tagged the French international with a blue heart emoji on the end, with Mudryk captioning the post: “Happy to be back.” He could be featured in Pochettino’s squad when the Blues face Nottingham Forest on Saturday
