On this holiday Monday, there is conflicting news regarding Fabio Carvalho’s future, as well as speculation about a potential signing and the return of a well-known manager to the league.
There was no time to spend when it came to reports of what Carvalho will do next, less than 24 hours after Liverpool’s season came to an end.
Carvalho is “prepared to reluctantly accept a permanent departure,” according to Football Insider’s David Lynch, after Liverpool received a “big-money bid” from an unknown Champions League team.
The Athletic then immediately announced that the bid was not from Portugal and had been turned down; they also mentioned Premier League clubs’ interest in a loan deal.
In contrast to Lynch’s claim that Carvalho “will not be part of Klopp’s first-team plans,” the Athletic has been informed that Liverpool is “not considering a permanent exit at this time.” Anyhow, a summer relocation seems highly plausible.
It comes as no surprise that Carvalho’s future appears to lie outside of Anfield, and you can understand if he feels the need to go after only playing 638 minutes throughout his first campaign.
