Andrew Carr Joins Elite Company: Fourth Wildcat Invited to NBA G League Elite Camp
The list of Kentucky Wildcats turning heads ahead of the NBA Draft continues to grow — and Andrew Carr is the latest name added to the mix.
Carr, a versatile 6-foot-11 forward and graduate transfer from Wake Forest, has officially accepted an invite to the 2025 NBA G League Elite Camp in Chicago, becoming the fourth Wildcat headed to the showcase alongside Lamont Butler, Amari Williams, and Jaland Lowe.
Set to run from May 9–11, the Elite Camp offers players a golden opportunity: impress the scouts, and you might just earn a late invite to the official NBA Draft Combine. With names like Otega Oweh and Koby Brea already confirmed for the main event, the pressure is on — but Carr’s résumé suggests he’s up for the challenge.
A calming presence on a battle-tested Kentucky team, Carr averaged 10.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game this past season, helping lead the Wildcats to multiple top-15 victories. And he did it all while pushing through injuries, showing off not just talent, but tenacity. His leadership, maturity, and poise made him a media favorite — and a locker room rock.
But make no mistake: Carr isn’t just a glue guy. At nearly seven feet tall with a smooth shooting touch and high basketball IQ, he’s exactly the type of modern big man pro scouts are hunting for. His upcoming performance in Chicago could be the final nudge needed to solidify his path to the pros.
“I know what it means to wear Kentucky on my chest,” Carr once said after committing to the Wildcats.
That pride, and his steady contributions in Lexington, have already etched his name into Big Blue Nation’s memory. Now, Carr is set to take the next step — with the NBA dream within reach.
