Liverpool target Alexis Mac Allister has been asked about interest from Jurgen Klopp as summer transfer to Anifield edges nearer
Alexis Mac Allister has said he is “very calm” about the prospect of joining Liverpool as his transfer from Brighton edges nearer.
Mac Allister has emerged as the chief target for Jurgen Klopp as he looks to refashion his midfield this summer with the Reds having failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in seven years.
While Liverpool have remained tight-lipped on any sign of a deal being agreed, reports in Argentina over the past week have claimed the 24-year-old is close to completing a move for a fee in the region of £60million.
And the Argentina World Cup winner has now been asked directly regards the strong interest from Liverpool and the chance to work with Klopp
I am very calm because I also have the possibility of being in a club like Brighton that accompanied me at all times and in which I really enjoy being,” he said, speaking to Miami-based Argentine news outlet Infobae.
“If I do not have to leave the club I will continue to be very happy there, but I am aware that there are possibilities (to move) and if a good offer arrives for the club and for me we will evaluate it.
“I have no doubts that (the Premier League) is the best league to play in and that is why I am aware that I would like my next club to be in the Premier. I really enjoy being there.
