When injured, Larry Bird once consumed ten gallons of ice cream.
Bird said to McCallum, “I was so bored, I’d sit around the house, drive my wife crazy, and eat and eat.” “I was off for two and a half weeks.” I consumed seven weddin’ cakes and ten gallons of ice cream. Why are they? I ate weddin’ cakes because you could just tell they would be delicious. Who would, indeed, (crap) ruin a weddin’ cake?
The aforementioned injury transpired amid the 1990–91 campaign. Even so, Bird averaged 19.4 points, 7.3 assists, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 75 games for the Celtics.

However, Bird’s admission that he formerly engaged in certain unhealthy eating habits out of boredom makes him more approachable and highlights his extraordinary brilliance. You don’t become a Celtics icon for nothing, after all.
