The former opponent of snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan claims that he “doesn’t respect many other players.”

Because of his domination over the other players over the past few decades, Ronnie O’Sullivan has shown little regard for other players on the tour, according to Stephen Hendry.

Former opponent of Ronnie O’Sullivan Stephen Hendry has said that the Rocket doesn’t regard many other players on the circuit.

One of the best snooker players to ever take up a cue, O’Sullivan, 48, has dominated the game for several decades. However, his fiercest competitor Hendry claims that because of his supremacy, he “does not respect” other players.

At the Welsh Open, The Rocket, who has frequently expressed his disapproval of rival players, advised John Astley to think about starting a new career. Hendry stated on ITV: “I believe that Mark Selby views himself as Ronnie’s equal.

“In the interview, he downplayed it a little bit by stating that he treasures his matches with Ronnie. Still, he believes he’s on par with the best in the business. Let’s get one thing straight: Ronnie has little regard for a large number of guys.

“With Mark Selby, he does. He is aware that he can defeat Mark Selby at his peak.

And when the two faced off at the Players Championship on Thursday, Selby was at the top of his game.

In less than two hours, Selby secured his place in the semi-finals by thoroughly dominating the Rocket. “Beating Ronnie in any tournament is an amazing accomplishment; I’m thrilled that I was able to defeat him in such a manner.” “It was nearly flawless,” Selby remarked following the match.

“It’s a big game, so you might as well put your cue away if you can’t handle matches like that. I was sure I could win since, in most cases, the score would go the other way if I didn’t.”
