As part of Jurgen Klopp’s ongoing renovation, Liverpool is willing to offload a player who just joined them at Anfield last summer.
Due to Jurgen Klopp’s merciless scything of his roster, Liverpool may be willing to transfer a player who only came last summer.
By Reds standards, the previous campaign was a failure as Klopp watched his team drop to fifth place in the standings. With Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita all left, Merseyside is about to undergo an overhaul.
Football Insider reports that recently promoted Burnley is also interested in a permanent move for Fabio Carvalho, and that RB Leipzig has made an offer and is prepared to make another.
The young Portuguese player, who won the Championship with Fulham, has made just four starts since joining Liverpool. His prime years, though, are still ahead of him at age 20.
The Reds would prefer to retain Carvalho and would prefer to let him go on loan, but should a strong offer come in, it might be too hard to turn down given the impending rebuild.
Klopp would then have to ask for a repurchase clause in any agreement.
However, the departures have not yet ended, and Liverpool may even decide to cut their losses on players who only recently joined the team.
Although Carvalho has experience playing in the middle, he may be more effective for Liverpool on the left wing, where Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Diogo Jota are all preferred above him.
The child is worth €20 million according to Transfer market.
