The £67 million Bayern player Thomas Tuchel wanted to play for Chelsea is already not a fan of his.

Reports have claimed that Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is already not a fan of current centre-back Matthijs de Ligt.

According to tZ, the former Chelsea man is not convinced just a year after he pushed hard to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Despite making a £67m move last summer, it has not taken long for De Ligt to fall out of favour with the Bundesliga champions.

This summer they made the addition of Kim-Min Jae from Napoli, who has already slotted in nicely as one of the club’s new signings alongside Harry Kane.

12 months ago though, it looked a real possibility that the Netherlands international could be making a move to West London, off the back of a recommendation from Tuchel.

However, the club instead looked a different direction. They brought in Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella in an attempt to strengthen the backline.

Tuchel not a fan of De Ligt

The former has already left the club, whilst the latter was very close to completing a switch to Old Trafford on loan. Fofana has unfortunately suffered a season-long injury.

It is of course unknown whether De Ligt would have starred at Stamford Bridge, however he would no doubt be under pressure for his place based on the other players in his position right now.

Levi Colwill has hit the ground running since returning from his loan at Brighton, albeit featuring in a bit more of a left-back role.

There has also been the addition of Axel Disasi, who seems to have pushed a fan favourite to the side.

Trevoh Chalobah is reportedly surplus to requirements at the club right now, and that is no doubt added to by the Frenchman’s addition.

It has been widely claimed that the Englishman will be on the move in January when the transfer window reopens
