Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea have now made a formal bid to sign Corinthians star Gabriel Moscardo.
He took to Twitter to state that the Blues have launched an attempt to sign the midfielder from the Brazilian side late in the transfer window.
In what has been a chaotic transfer window for the club under Todd Boehly, it looks as if they are not quite finished with their business yet.
Many thought that the upcoming addition of Cole Palmer would be their final piece of business of the summer as we approach deadline day.
It was well known that Mauricio Pochettino was keen to add another attacking profile to his ranks before the window closed, in order to become the best possible side this season.
There were reports that they were interested in the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Ansu Fati, however it soon emerged their priority was Palmer.
Chelsea make bid for Moscardo
It only took a few hours for them to go from original reports to getting the customary here we go from Romano to state that the deal was about to be done.
However, that same journalist has now claimed that they may not be done yet, with them linked to the addition of Moscardo
He went on to say that it would require a fee that would make it a record sale for Corinthians if it was to go ahead.
He said: “Chelsea have presented formal bid to Corinthians for 2005 born top talent Gabriel Moscardo.
“Bid already discussed between clubs. Told Corinthians now want €25m to sell Moscardo and make it club record sale. It’d be a signing for the futur
