What I am told’: Journalist shares what he’s heard about Jadon Sancho and Chelsea now

There’s not much substance in rumours online that suggest Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho is a transfer target for Chelsea.

That is according to well-respected journalist Ben Jacobs.

Jacobs has addressed rumours about Jadon Sancho by explaining he’s not heard anything concrete to suggest he could be joining Chelsea during this final week of the summer transfer window.

Jacobs said on Twitter: “I understand why people are mentioning Jadon Sancho but I think it’s more rumour than substance at the moment, from what I am told.

We’ve not covered any speculation this summer from any reliable sources regarding Sancho and Chelsea, so we’re not too surprised to hear this update from Jacobs.

In fairness, the 23-year-old Man United attacker is an interesting option the Blues should consider.

The English winger has found it difficult since his arrival at Old Trafford in 2021, but he’s someone that performed sensationally in Germany with Borussia Dortmund as a youngster. It’s hard to overlook numbers of 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 Dortmund games.

Football.London reports that Chelsea want to make one final signing this summer at the top end of the pitch. Ideally, they’re looking for a profile that can play as a right-winger or a No 10.

We’ll wait to see if anything new emerges on Sancho in the final few days of the window.

The skilful playmaker has featured in all three of Man United’s opening league matches this campaign, albeit he’s been a substitute in each of them.

So, will Chelsea decide to make a serious move for the Englishman
