Moises Caicedo and Raheem Sterling drop huge Chelsea team news hints ahead of West Ham clash

Moises Caicedo and Raheem Sterling could play major roles for Chelsea as the Blues lock horns with West Ham at the London Stadium this afternoon

Moises Caicedo and Raheem Sterling have both dropped team news hints ahead of Chelsea’s clash with West Ham. The duo have posted pre-match graphic previews of the clash to their respective Instagram stories – which, historically, suggests that they will be involved in some capacity.

The Hammers will welcome Mauricio Pochettino’s side to the London Stadium this afternoon in what is expected to be a closely contested tie. West Ham head into the fixture off the back of a draw against Bournemouth.

Jarrod Bowen broke the deadlock for the east Londoners shortly into the second-half before Dominic Solanke found an equaliser in the dying embers of the bout. The Blues will also be desperate to register their first win of the Premier League campaign after Liverpool held them to a draw.

Jurgen Klopp’s side began in the ascendency at Stamford Bridge last weekend, but Chelsea quickly ironed out the Reds’ advances. Ahead of what is set up to be ‘tough’ London derby, Pochettino previewed the tie.

Speaking to football.london, the 51-year-old said: “It’s going to be tough. We know how they are going to play. They are beginning to change the shape but it’s always going to be tough.

“All of the Premier League games will be difficult. They are a very good team doing a great job. Last season, they lifted a trophy, so they are very confident. For sure, it’s going to be tough.”

Then, when asked what he learned upon his return to the English top-flight, Pochettino replied: “The tempo is amazing. We were playing in the Premier League Summer Series in America but it’s not the same, the tempo

The tempo is amazing; it’s higher than other competitions in Europe and the world. The time to recover is completely different. I learned the quality was there and this is the most difficult competition in the world.”

While Caicedo and Sterling have posted pre-match previews of the West Ham fixture to their social media profiles, it does not necessarily mean both will start. However, it usually means that they will be involved in some capacity. Follow live coverage of the game in our blog here.
