How about a little surprise today?
That’s exactly what happened for Kenny Brooks and the Kentucky Wildcats, as they picked up a commitment from Swedish forward Elsa Vadfors.
Vadfors made her announcement via Twitter.
Standing at 6-foot-5, she currently plays for Uppsala Basket and was part of Sweden’s FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket team.
Following the departure of Clara Silva to the transfer portal earlier this offseason, Vadfors is a timely and valuable addition to the Wildcats’ frontcourt. Her size brings a much-needed boost, and it looks like the 2025-26 roster is beginning to take shape. It’s also clear this coaching staff is putting a strong emphasis on international recruiting.
