Otega Oweh is undrafted and Koby Brea is picked in the latest ESPN mock draft.

Otega Oweh, last season’s leading scorer for the Kentucky Wildcats, is reportedly seeking a first-round guarantee in the NBA Draft in order to forgo his remaining college eligibility.

Without that assurance, he’s expected to withdraw from the draft before the May 28 deadline the cutoff for players who wish to return to school.

 

In ESPN’s latest mock draft, released after Monday’s NBA Draft lottery, Oweh was not among the 59 projected picks.

The lone Kentucky player featured was Koby Brea, projected to go No. 54 overall to the Indiana Pacers.

 

Both Oweh and Brea are currently participating in the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, where they’ll compete in five-on-five scrimmages beginning Wednesday.

 

With just over two weeks left before Oweh must make his final decision, Kentucky fans are eagerly and nervously awaiting word. Should he return, the Wildcats are expected to enter next season as one of the favorites to win the national title.
