Coach Christie Sides of the Indiana Fever is praising Aliyah Boston for her exceptional skills on the court, but is urging Caitlin Clark to improve her game. Sides is impressed with Boston’s defensive skills, calling her a “game-changer” on the court. “Aliyah is an elite defender, she’s got a knack for anticipating plays and making big stops,” Sides said. “She’s a true leader on our team.”
However, Sides believes Clark needs to work on her technical skills, saying “We’re spending too much time talking to the officials…let them do their job.” Clark has received two technical fouls this season, and Sides wants her to focus on the game instead of arguing with referees. “Caitlin is an incredibly talented player, but she needs to learn to control her emotions and play smart,” Sides said.
Despite the Fever’s struggling record, Sides is optimistic about the team’s future, saying “We have a young team…we need the energy.” Sides believes that with Boston’s defensive prowess and Clark’s offensive skills, the Fever have the potential to be a top team in the league. “We just need to put it all together and play consistently,” Sides said.
