One of the key decisions Duke was watching closely this offseason was whether guard Caleb Foster would return. The former four-star recruit from the 2023 class started the 2024-25 season but lost his starting spot to Sion James later on.
Foster announced on Thursday that he will be returning for the 2025-26 season.
This announcement comes just days after freshman standout Kon Knueppel declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, becoming the first Blue Devil to do so. Following Knueppel’s decision, star guard Tyrese Proctor also announced his intention to enter the draft.
While Duke has yet to add any players through the transfer portal, that is expected to change soon. Now, attention shifts to whether Cooper Flagg and Khaman Maluach will declare for the 2025 NBA Draft before the April 26 deadline. Flagg is widely considered the favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick this summer.
