Tyrese Proctor Receives a Strong Message from Jon Scheyer Following the NBA Draft Announcement

Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils recently ended their college basketball season with a tough defeat in the NCAA Tournament.

Despite having one of the most talented rosters in the nation, featuring players like Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and Tyrese Proctor, Duke fell short. The Blue Devils lost 70-67 to Houston in the Final Four after overcoming Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, and Mount Saint Mary’s.

Following the heartbreaking loss, Duke faced another setback when Tyrese Proctor announced his decision to declare for the NBA Draft after three years at the ACC program.

In response to the news, head coach Jon Scheyer expressed his admiration for Proctor, praising his growth over the years. “It’s been an incredible ride with Tyrese,” Scheyer said. “It’s not just about what he did this season but the journey he’s had over the last three years. To see his individual development and the wins he’s contributed to… I couldn’t be more proud of him. I’m also excited for this next step as he pursues his NBA dream.”
