One key Chelsea player has now been spotted in full first team training ahead of tonight’s Premier League game against Manchester United.
Pictures on the official club website show Cole Palmer back amongst his teammates at Cobham, with the hope from many that he will be involved from the start tonight.
Palmer has been a key player for the Blues since he made the £45m deadline day move from Manchester City.
However, reports early Sunday brought fears to Chelsea fans that he may not have been fit to be involved against Brighton.
He was only fit enough to make the bench in what turned out to be a hard-fought 3-2 win for Mauricio Pochettino’s ten soldiers in the second half.
The 21-year-old did come off the bench, hinting that he had only suffered a minor problem.
Palmer in training
Now, there is promise that he may be fit to start tonight after he has been spotted in first team training again.
Pochettino is down a number of men tonight due to both suspension and injury.
Conor Gallagher will miss his first Premier League game of the season after his red card at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
This will leave the Argentine looking to his squad for a replacement, although his options are limited after it emerged that they would be missing as many as 10 players for tonight’s game.
It is therefore likely that Palmer will operate slightly deeper than he normally finds himself in, although this will bring a great deal of creative freedom to his game.
There will be an importance placed on his work rate and defensive output too though, with him likely to feature ahead of regular midfield duo Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
